WNC Carp Report

I have been putting in a lot of time over the past two months fishing carp on the fly, exploring new waters, etc. I hope to offer guided sight fishing trips for carp in the near future.

With temps on the rise, look for the best fishing to be in the morning, evening, and after it rains. While you can catch fish all day, the sun will beat you down. Fish are actively feeding on the flats, and a well presented fly will often lead to an eat and eventually a carp to hand. It is important to take your time and make a good cast, because a sloppy casts will more often than not, spook the fish.  Remember to strip set!

We are also targeting catfish on the flats. Catfish will aggressively take the fly and fight just like a carp.
