I spent Friday and Saturday fishing high water on the South Holston. The recent rains had the TVA running water around the clock, and the feeder creeks were adding color to the river. We fished streamers and nymphs both days, picking up the numbers on nymphs, and we had many short strikes on streamers. The water clarity wasn’t as much of an issue as was the blue bird skies. We made the best of it and put up some decent numbers. If you are interested in a guided float or wade trip on the South Holston let us know!
