As I am sitting down for dinner last night I receive a text from future guide Chris Franzen telling me about his trip down the Catawba River Tailwater below Lake James. Chris just bought a new boat and he has been itching to break it in. Chris hit the river yesterday rowing / guiding his friend Sox. Being the fish magnet that he is, Franzen was able to put Sox on a slab of a Catawba brown. Way to go guys!
There are still some nice fish that made it through the tough times on the Catawba. The river should continue to improve as time goes on!
